It was a cold and stormy night, ... . not really, but it would sound more dramatic. Anyway, the UNIVERSE OF VOID needed to be enhanced by someone more talented than I - as if it was not hard to find someone like this- so I put a free ad in the San Diego READER.
I posted a need for an artist to draw illustrations for an art project. The ad was free, so the results should be worth 'free'- right?.
By horseshoes I got a response!
Stay with me here, as it has been so many orbits since then, and since I have trouble remembering where I put my car keys I will recall what happened as literally as possible.
A young man answered the ad and we agreed to meet in at a park in North Park (seemed logical enough) so I arrived and waited. It wasn't too long until I spotted a young man (early twenties?) pushing a stroller- with a kid in it no less! We must have hit it off because Aaron B. heard my spiel and was interested! And why not?
A great paying gig, with benefits, all expenses paid, and a chance for a talented young man to share his talents with the world- NOT!
Nevertheless, he turned out to be an extremely talented artist, visual creator and friend. He accepted no monetary reward, but eagerly adopted the mission, so we both won.
These are the things destiny can provide if one just 'puts it out there'!
Is that all, you ask?
Pisces, no!
Next time, lets go back even farther in this tale . . . . .
